Over 34 Years of Military Occupation at KKS- Sri Lanka

It has been publicised that the Sri Lankan military commandeered and occupied several acres of land in the North of Sri Lanka, of which over 30 aces of land was given back in March 2024 and almost 34 years of occupation since 1990 by the military. The area covers KKS, Mylidy, ThenMylai, and Tellipalai.

The proper way for the military should have been to have handed over the inventory prepared by them and with all inventory intact with the assets intact. It is concluded that the military did not prepare an asset register when they took over the houses. Maybe the Sri Lankan military and the government had a NAZI antidemocratic attitude and practice then.

The way the houses have been handed over is as if they have left and run away. The buildings were named (i) Gemini Mess (ii) Gemini Officers etc. etc. Didn't the military have any educated people who could have prepared an inventory and made sure that all furniture and buildings were intact without damage? This indicates that they did this because the houses belonged to the Tamils. Whatever the method is, they treat the owners as animals who have no cultural background.

What has happened is the thieves and lawbreakers have removed and taken away the windows, doors, roof tiles etc either before or after the handover. It is also clear that the military staff lacked the intelligence to fight a war.

Is it not fair to ask the military to treat people like humans after the war ended in 2009 killing several thousands of Tamils? It is disheartening to see the old people who have visited the area that belonged to them once. The old age people have no funds and it is strange how they survived all those 34 years.

If the Sinhala people had such a situation, do we think that there would be peace in SL?

Conclusion:

1.    It is fair to judge that the Sri Lankan military carried out such a dictatorial step because the people in question were Tamils. The area did not inherit or house any of the terrorists. Uma Maheshwaran died in July 1989. However, the military, for no reason commandeered acres of Tamils land in this area.

The question is: Do the Srilankn military or its administrators have any human mind to treat others as humans with dignity? This can be construed as a Human Rights Violation.

The Sri Lankan military administration and the soldiers behave like animals with rat brains, cos several soldiers have an education no more than year six.

The Sri Lankan military treated the Tamils like animals. The majority of Sri Lanka is Sinhalese, however, the Southerners and many other regions of Sinhalese were assimilated with Portuguese, Mexicans, Spanish and other Western trotters. This is the reason the cultural differences make them animals.

2.    GOSL should be fair enough to absorb the sufferings of the Tamils in the area by offering them adequate money as compensation OR build houses decent enough for the people to occupy. Hon Mr. Ranil Wickremasinghe does not come into this picture as he is an honourable politician. It is those dirty politicians who made the Tamils suffer as they are mostly half-cast Southern Yakka-Mexicans.

3.    The military should talk to the people and prepare a dossier of the assets and damages and hand it to the government which is a decent way to tackle the issues.

4.    The only other way is for the people to file a case in the courts against the government and military for the atrocities committed.

எப்படி? ஒரு சட்டத்தரணிகள் அணியாக மல்லாகம் நீதிமன்றத்தில் வழக்கு பதிவு செய்வது மிக நல்லது. எப்படி? மக்களின் சொத்து இழப்பீடுக்காகவும் மக்கள் இத்தனை காலம் பட்ட கஷ்டங்களை தாங்கிகொள்ளவும் இழப்பீட்டுத்தொகை. இப்படி செய்தால் தாங்கள் மக்களுக்காக அரசியல் செய்யும் அரசியல்வாதிகள். இல்லையேல் அரசியல் நாடக நடிகர்கள். யான் வழி கூறவேண்டிய அவசியம் இல்லை.

நாமெல்லோரும் தமிழர்கள். சாதிவெறி, பிரதேசவாத வெறி, சமய வெறி, நமக்கு உகந்ததல்ல. சாதி பார்த்து என்னத்தை கிழிக்கப்போகின்றீர்கள்.

நாடுகடந்த தமிழீழ அரசாங்கம் தங்களுக்கு உதவியாக நிற்பார்கள் என்று நம்பிக்கை. இல்லையேல், அவர்களும் நாடக தாரிர்கள்.
