                                                               Tamil Eelam Concept

Eng. Kanthar Balanathan

Since Independence in 1948, some politicians started their campaign of Tamil Eelam as a conceptual republic via forming a party in 1949. The interesting comedy is that they did not deliberate about the concept prior to 1949 or even before independence in Feb 1948. This may indicate some kind of selfishness in the minds of the Tamil politicians. We are all propagating and shouting that Tami Eelam existed since long, however, then why did not the Cheras, Colas and the Pandians establish and declare it a republic or a state of Tamil Eelam. The propaganda initiated strongly by the diasporas in the recent years. One aspect is reflecting quite strongly in our minds, which is the Tamil diaspora have no sense of responsibility of developing the region what they call as Tamil Eelam, however, visit build expensive houses and leave. The diasporas have blown up the land price in the North. A gentleman name Raj Sivanathan wrote an important article; however, how many Tamils do read and understand the concept which was written by RS. My recommendation that “Economics” as a subject could be taught up to grade 8, so that students will get a better understanding of the environment in which they live. We Tamils give prominence to Hinduism as a subject with strong focus, however, not science, economics or environmental science.

Just refer to the map we have established; The rights of the extensive area of sea will be held by TE. If at all Tamils want a republic the solution can be only approved by five major countries plus one country. (5 + 1) countries. The +1 by default is Sri Lanka. SriLanka will never ever approve a separate country to be stablished in the island. The rest of the FIVE states could be decided by you all as to which are the countries those need to come forward to approve, which will never ever happen in the next several centuries unless a major destruction occurs in the Indian Ocean and the countries. The five states are quite strong in every aspect of a republic. Wee need to know geopolitics to decide.

Therefore, as intelligent humans our politicians shall not create and stretch the difference in SL between the Tamils and Sinhalese, however, live together as SriLankans and vote for the Sri Lankan party(s). Not for Tamil RACIAL parties. MA Sumanthiran’s association with SLPP is a good move. Similarly, the others shall come forward and join the most humanistic and socialistic political party, the NPP, with AKD as the leader. This is left for the people to decide. The triumph of Tamil racial political parties can cause more damage to growth and not save the Tamils in SL. The diasporas have theoretical vision only. People like Harry Anandasangaree and Vijay Thanigasalam should be considered as jokers and no practical persons. Do not they have a sense of vision for the growth of Tamils in SL? The relative of a guy who voted to disfranchise the one million estate Tamils in SL in 1948 was campaigning to build a monument in Australia. This can only be considered as selfish. Why waste millions of dollars in waste structures.  Person like Baskaran Kandiah are practical intelligent people who see vision is for the development.  Some Council is trying to build a structure for Prof. Thurairajah. This is a waste, as in the early days, Tamils invested in their children to study Civil Engineering, the reason being they can earn a lot, probably through misappropriation. There was an old civil engineer in Nigeria and he was nicknamed, “casual Shun”. This was because he was misappropriating money via theoretical number of casual workers. This is how the minds of the Tamils think. Hero worships some unnecessary fools. Let us be practical in the 21st century. Practically, Mahinda Rajapaksa was not a perilous racist. His development on roads, structures and electricity was equally completed within SL. It is the other Rajapaksas who misappropriated. Mahinda wanted to be a leader; hence he was quiet and let everyone misappropriate.

It is an advice that those of the leftover LTTEs shall not campaign for TE and concentrate on growth and leave the people to survive. The leftover LTTEs are cowards who ran out during the war in 2009. People like Harry Anandasangaree and Vijay Thanigasalam are self-centred selfish fools who have no interest in the Tamils in SL. The leftover LTTEs are cowards who want money to be collected for their growth.

Let Tamils be constructive, practical and complete logical reasoning before they decide, and not be bought over by the Tamil racist foolish politicians.

Question directed to Chandrika Bandaranaike

Dear former President of SriLanka. I have a couple of questions to be directed to you since 2005. You were the President of SriLanka from 1994 to 2005. If I remember the LTTE moved out to Mullivaykal in 1995 after their defeat in Jaffna. LTTE took civilians as human shield.

I believe and am sure that the military prepared a tactical report recommending launching an attack on LTTE in Mullivaykal in 1995. The tactical reason was to dislodge the LTTE before establishing a base in Mullivaykal. However, I believe you did not take any action and have a doubt that you may not have even read the tactical report. The root cause for the deaths of several Tamils in Mullivaykal during the 2009 war can be directed to V. Prabakaran as he was the person who was bent on establishing his base in Mullivaykal. Hence you become partly to share the blame of the killing of the Tamils in 2009.

You know that the LTTE had collected billions of dollars and were rich. Some countries who wanted to do business with the LTTE in selling arms and ammunitions may have decided to support the establishing the base. For the country to sell arms, the LTTE must have a base. Hence, we think that some countries want SL not to attack the LTTE.

There are other leaders who are also to be blamed in supporting the LTTE which I will raise. You have an obligation as a citizen and the former President to come out an disclose the countries that requested SL not to launch an attack. For the President National Security and safety of the citizens are important.

KP should disclose the truths.

 Question directed to Ranil Wickremasinghe

Dear former Prime Minister and the President of SriLanka. I have a couple of questions to be directed to you since 2005.

Quote Ref:

Ranil Wickremesinghe is a Sri Lankan politician who served as the ninth president of Sri Lanka from 2022 to 2024. He has also served as Prime Minister of Sri Lanka from 1993–1994, 2001–2004, 2015–2018, 2018-2019 and in 2022. Wikipedia

You were the PM of SL during the period 2002-2004. You created Cease Fire Agreement CFA.

Quote Ref: The ceasefire agreement (CFA) in Sri Lanka was signed on February 22, 2002, and officially went into effect on February 23, 2002. The agreement between the Sri Lankan government and the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) was facilitated by Norway and aimed to halt fighting, though it was officially annulled by the government in 2008.

  • Signed: February 22, 2002, by Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and LTTE leader Velupillai Prabhakaran.

We all know that Norway is a Janissary of the USA. A janissary is a devoted follower or steadfast ally. The people chanting supportively and waving signs at political rallies are usually the candidate's janissaries. Today's janissary is a hardcore supporter; someone whose priorities and opinions align with a particular person or group.

I need not emphasize the concept that to continue business on weapons, arms and ammunitions LTTE should be alive and established in one place. Chandrika did not launch and attack to dislodge the LTTE settlement in Mullivaykal in 1995, and you continued to make it safe for the LTTE to expand their activities in Mullivaykal. Speculation was that large containers were dispatched to Mullivaykal. What were the weapons in the containers? Were they either cannons or aircrafts or any other weaponry.? You joined the unpatriotic people to harm SriLanka. You have been the worst leader who has betrayed SL I every aspect of politics and national security. WE all know that the UNP and SLFP kept the Tamils as Trump cards for the political victory and grasp governance since 1956. You guys did not think for one minute to develop SL and make it a sustainable economy.

Premadasa gave arms to LTTE to fight the IPKF. IPKF came to protect the people, however, the fool Prabakaran was telling lies to justify the attacks against IPKF.

V. Prabakaran (VP):

This guy is from Valvettiturai (VVT). VVT people are experts in smuggling goods from VVT to Thoothukudi and Vetharniyam. Initially Kuttimani and Thangathurai were dealing with smuggling and attack on public properties. VP was taking them kothuroddi and tea. Somehow the Federal Party with the help of Gnanamoorthy and MP Thurairatnam got VP involved. VP is related to Gnanamoorthy. VP was educated to only 8th standard and did not pass year 9. However, he behaved like a rowdy when he was young, and this made everyone to get him to terrorism in the name of Tamil Eelam. There are significant number of stories when he was young. If we analyse VP, we will know that he is a murderer. Several people did not like his approach and some left Mullivaykal early as 2005. VP suffered from bipolar disorder and, he had psychiatric problems. If VP agreed to Rajiv’s proposal as early as 1987, the issues would have been solved. He could have placed Balakumar as the Chief Minister. He behaved a thick-headed fool and ended up in Mullivaykal. Significant amount of people from LTTE wanted to leave, however VP managed to murder them in time.

In general VP is a megalomaniac fool and the following were responsible for the death of several Tamils in Mullivaykal: Vellupillai Prabakaran/ Chandrika Bandaranaike/ Premadasa/Ranil Wickremasinghe/The Rajapaksas/Tamil Diaspora

No point in blaming the Sri Lankan military. They obeyed the orders of the Executives.

Please understand when LTTE funds were low it is presumed that KP wanted to leave LTTE and most left. The countries who were doing business with the LTTE also dropped them like a hot cake. MR and the army took the opportunity to launch an attack on the LTTE.

Country’s Growth, Trumpism, Racism to Capture Power

This has references to the various articles related to a Senator’s racial talks. The last one was about land mines which Madam referred to as the parties’ (One Nation) MPs. However, such talks are irrelevant in politics of a democratic country.

Madam could have expressed her vision and mission by using another diplomatic phrase. Australia is not a third world, while we can confidently state that every citizen has acquired political knowledge to a higher level to advance their living standard with abreast of science and technology.

I wish to quote some examples of countries where racial politicians finished up nowhere within a short time.

(1) A politician named Enoc Powell (EP) was in Wolverhampton/Birmingham in the sixties who sprayed racial talks. EP ended up nowhere within a short period and could not achieve his ambitions. I lived in Stafford, UK, during this period.

(2) A politician named K.M.P Rajaratna was spraying similar speeches like that of EP (UK) and people threw him away.

(3) Two political parties in Sri Lanka, SLFP and UNP was struggling to capture power. Basically, third world politicians take up the racial concept to capture political power. SLFP (SWRD Bandaranaike) took up the racial concept and won the election. However, in three years, his own people murdered SWRD Bandaranaike in 1959, and today, SLFP is not heard of. The government today is led by the best president whose vision and mission are for the country’s growth only and unite the entire people.

Today, can we assume that some in Australia is trying to drive wedges between the people to capture power, which in our opinion will never be able to achieve whatever they have in mind? All Australians think that they are Aussies united, irrespective of race, doctrine and ethos.

British citizens are intelligent and practice the reasoning process before they decide. Australian citizens today are mature and have political, economic and technological knowledge. Australians do exercise and advise their children a process of reasoning. It will be hard for anyone to change their mind from righteousness, justice and honesty.  The British and the Europeans do exercise a process reasoning before they execute.

Comments:

There cannot be a reason to lay landmines in any form to oppose citizens in a country. Let us all unite and build our nation called Australia to the next level in human resource management. Labour Party government can be identified as Peoples party, as the party fulfills the needs of all citizens by taking care of Children, Working class, and aged people via Childcare, Medicare and Aged care. Also, they keep abreast of Science and Technology in pace with the economy. Our Prime Minister Hon Anthony Albanese is an effective and efficient PM who always address the needs of the citizens and the country.

The Obligations of a Politician to Society

Principles, Duties, and the Path to Public Trust

Introduction

The role of a politician extends far beyond the act of legislating or governing; it is fundamentally rooted in the trust and well-being of the society they serve. A politician’s obligation to society is a complex web of ethical, legal, and moral responsibilities, encompassing everything from honest representation to the pursuit of the public good. In a world facing increasing challenges—social, economic, environmental, and political—the obligations of politicians have never been more important for the maintenance and progress of democracy.

The Foundation of Obligation: Representation and Service

At the heart of a politician’s duty lies the principle of representation. Elected or appointed, politicians act on behalf of their constituents, entrusted with the power to make decisions that affect the welfare of many. The obligation to represent is not merely procedural; it is both a moral and practical contract with society.

·         Listening to the People: Politicians must remain attuned to the needs, concerns, and aspirations of those they represent. This entails regular communication, transparency, and a willingness to remain accessible.

·         Fairness and Equality: The obligation extends to serving all constituents equally, regardless of background, belief, or social standing. Discrimination, bias, or favouritism undermines public trust and the very fabric of democracy.

Honesty, Integrity, and the Public Trust

A politician’s obligation is inherently tied to trust—a fragile asset that, once lost, is difficult to regain. Politicians are expected to uphold the highest standards of honesty and integrity.

·         Truthfulness: Society depends on politicians to provide accurate information, especially in times of crisis. Misrepresentation or deliberate misinformation can have dire consequences, eroding public trust and impeding progress.

·         Accountability: Politicians are answerable for their actions, decisions, and use of public resources. Accountability mechanisms, such as audits, public disclosures, and independent oversight, ensure that politicians remain faithful to their responsibilities.

·         Transparency: An open and transparent approach to governance enables citizens to understand the reasoning behind decisions, participate meaningfully in public life, and hold their representatives to account.

The Pursuit of the Common Good

While individual interests abound in any society, a politician’s ultimate obligation is to pursue the common good—the well-being of the community as a whole.

·         Balancing Interests: Politicians must weigh competing interests and act in ways that benefit society at large, rather than particular groups or individuals. This may require compromise, negotiation, and a willingness to make difficult decisions.

·         Sustainable Policy: Long-term thinking and planning are crucial. Politicians must consider not only immediate outcomes, but also the sustainability and future impact of their policies. This is particularly evident in issues such as environmental stewardship, economic development, and social welfare.

·         Promotion of Justice: Upholding justice—legal, social, and economic—is a core obligation. Politicians should strive to ensure that systems are fair, accessible, and responsive to the needs of the most vulnerable members of society.

Ethical Leadership and Personal Conduct

Society looks to its leaders as examples of behaviour and character. The obligation of a politician is not limited to policy or legislation, but extends to personal conduct and the cultivation of ethical leadership.

·         Leading by Example: Through their behaviour, politicians set standards for others. Ethical lapses can have ripple effects throughout society, normalising misconduct and eroding civic values.

·         Commitment to Service: Public office is a position of service, not self-enrichment. Politicians have a duty to place the needs of the public above personal gain, to avoid conflicts of interest, and to act with humility.

·         Responsibility in Public Discourse: Politicians shape the tone and quality of public debate. They are obligated to foster civil, respectful, and inclusive dialogue, even in the face of disagreement.

Safeguarding Democracy and the Rule of Law

Democracy relies on the rule of law, the protection of rights and liberties, and robust institutions. Politicians are stewards of these traditions, tasked with defending them for current and future generations.

·         Protecting Rights: Politicians must safeguard the rights and freedoms of all citizens, including those with whom they disagree. This includes protection of free speech, assembly, and belief.

·         Strengthening Institutions: The obligation to uphold and strengthen democratic institutions—parliaments, courts, independent media—is fundamental. Undermining these institutions for political gain weakens the entire society.

·         Respecting the Rule of Law: Even in pursuit of just causes, politicians must operate within the framework of the law, respecting checks and balances and the separation of powers.

Responding to Social Challenges and Change

Society is dynamic, confronting ever-evolving challenges such as technology, demographic shifts, globalisation, and health crises. Politicians are obligated to remain responsive, adaptive, and forward-thinking.

·         Innovation and Resilience: Embracing new ideas and technologies can help address societal challenges. Politicians must encourage innovation while being mindful of ethical implications.

·         Inclusivity and Representation: As societies become more diverse, politicians must ensure that all voices are heard, especially those historically marginalized.

·         Crisis Response: In times of emergency—be it economic, environmental, or health-related—politicians have an obligation to act decisively, communicate clearly, and prioritise the well-being of the public.

Global Responsibility

In an interconnected world, the obligations of politicians transcend national borders. Issues such as climate change, migration, and international security demand cooperation and a sense of shared responsibility.

·         Diplomacy and Cooperation: Politicians must engage with counterparts in other countries to address challenges that affect humanity as a whole.

·         Upholding International Commitments: Honouring treaties, respecting international law, and participating in multilateral organisations are vital aspects of responsible global leadership.

·         Advocacy for Human Rights: Politicians have a duty not only to their own citizens, but also to promote and defend the rights and dignity of people everywhere.

Conclusion

The obligations of a politician to society are profound and far-reaching. They encompass representation, integrity, transparency, and the pursuit of justice and the common good. They demand ethical leadership, respect for the rule of law, and a commitment to democratic principles. In facing the challenges of the present and future, politicians must continually earn the trust of those they serve through actions grounded in responsibility, humility, and a genuine dedication to public service. Only by fulfilling these obligations can politicians hope to contribute to a society that is just, prosperous, and resilient.
