Politicians are people with knowledge and experience in the art and science of government and are public servants. A person engaged in politics for the betterment of his country and people. Politicians aim to increase their country’s growth in science, technology, economics, social system, and finance and lead to an abreast of science and technology. They should also make the people live cohesively with each other.

Quote: A politician is a person who participates in policy-making processes, usually holding a position in government. Elections make a fundamental contribution to democratic governance.

However, in Sri Lanka up to 2024, the politicians were corrupted with bribery, nepotism and corruption. They were not interested in their voters and people, however, filled their pockets with foreign money and invested in foreign countries. Nepotism, bribery corruption and favouritism were saturated in their mind. They failed to understand that they were indirect public servants elected to govern the people. We all know about the perks stolen from the government: cars, fuels, servants, police personnel, and the number of vehicles stolen etc. etc. Sri Lanka was going backwards until 2024.

The current government by NPP(JVP) has highlighted the vacuum and the government is rectifying it. However, the legislature shall be filled with NPP(JVP) at least a two-thirds majority to have a new constitution. Sri Lanka needs a new dynamic detailed constitution for the country to grow in science, technology, agriculture, industries, economics and technology and good governance.

People should understand this and vote for the NPP(JVP) candidates.
